The Binding of Isaac review

Posted : 12 years, 10 months ago on 29 January 2012 05:29 (A review of The Binding of Isaac)

The best rogue-like game I have ever played. Very well done and tons of replay. Too bad I can't recommend it to anyone due to the fact it is such a dark game...

If you are a fan of rogue-like games and don't mind some controversial themes, then this game is defiantly worth your time and money.

I Am Legend review

Posted : 12 years, 10 months ago on 17 January 2012 08:46 (A review of I Am Legend)

A fun, and quick read about a survivor of the zombie apocalypse. A novella that is a must read for any zombie fan! He sits away in his house being taunted by (now zombie) neighbor while he slowly drinks himself to death. I think I had higher expectations considering I really liked the movie, but that's not even fair to say. The book and the movie were nothing alike!

I am all for making books into movies, and even very loosely basing a movie on a book. Though, in this case they should feel ashamed for having pasted the movie cover on the book claiming that this book was now a major motion picture... Aside from the main characters having the same name there is absolutely nothing alike.

Great Read!

Posted : 12 years, 10 months ago on 17 January 2012 07:02 (A review of The Warded Man)

Very interesting setting! I really enjoyed reading this book. My only complaint is that they could have worked on the characters a bit more in the first book. The book follows a few characters but skips a few years here and there. The result is you end up with these developed characters with missing back story and then the book ends.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and will be jumping right into the second book to see what happens next.

Update: The second book does a great job shining light on the dark areas of the first book and was also an excellent read.

Note: This series is not a trilogy! The book series is scheduled for five entries! The first two books are out as of this review being written.
